Description

This course encompasses a broad variety of topics which are presented at a DoD (vice MILDEP specific) level with a focus on the SAMM Chapter 16 (Case Reconciliation and Closure), the Reconciliation and Reconciliation and Closure Guide (RCG, SAMM Appendix 7) policies. Course topics include statutory requirements, DoD directives, and an overview of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) Security Cooperation Accounting (SCA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) case and contract reconciliation and closure processes which are provided by Guest Speakers from those organizations.

This course is conducted over 3 half days of On-Line Training (OLT) with some content on Day 1 being asynchronous (i.e., students complete online on their own), and the remaining portion of the class being synchronous (i.e., students meet real-time at scheduled times with an instructor and guest speakers).

Objectives

This course’s objective is to provide personnel, who are directly involved or concerned with Security Cooperation (SC) case and financial management, a comprehensive understanding and application of the policies, methods, systems, and actions necessary for effective and continuous case and line reconciliation from case and line implementation through final closure.

Target Attendees

DoD Security Cooperation personnel involved with Case/Program Management (FMS (Foreign Military Sale) and/or BPC (Building Partner Capacity).
