This course provides students with the information they need to plan for, oversee and execute the many complex and interrelated aspects of security assistance and security cooperation at the intermediate level. It builds on functional knowledge of security assistance/security cooperation planning considerations, authorities, funding and roles of the Department of State (DoS), Department of Defense (DoD), and other members of the U.S. government interagency.
There are two options for completing the POE-201 course.
Distance Learning Option (POE-201-V): Conducted over 13 days (13 half days). The first five (5) days are conducted through distance learning and the last eight (8) days are instructor-led online learning.
In Residence Option (POE-201-N, X, W): Conducted over nine (9) days (5 half days plus 4 full days). The first five (5) days are conducted through distance learning with some portions at scheduled times with an instructor. The last four 4 days are in residence.

- “W” - DSCU WPAFB, OH
- “X” - Location other than a DSCU campus
This course enables students with the skills they need to plan, oversee and execute a Country-specific Security Cooperation Section (CSCS) of a Combatant Command (CCMD) Campaign Plan (CCP). It builds on functional knowledge of security assistance/security cooperation planning considerations, authorities, funding and roles of the Department of State (DoS), Department of Defense (DoD), and other members of the U.S. government interagency
SC personnel involved with SC Program Management, SC Planning, Operation, or Delivery of Military Equipment, Operation, Execution, or Delivery of SC Training and Equipping Programs or Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation.
U.S. security cooperation office (SCO) personnel and geographic combatant command (CCMD) staff personnel directly supporting SCOs.
