SCO Enterprise Orientation

This course will augment the knowledge gained in the Security Cooperation Office Course by meeting interdepartmental and intergovernmental National Capital Region (NCR)-based Security Cooperation practitioners for briefings, consultations, and panel discussions regarding policy, program, and country-specific issues. The course will expand the students’ understanding of the counter-intelligence aspects of the Defense Department missions on station. The students will hear practical advice and best practices from country- and program-specific analysts, managers, and policy drivers on whom the SCOs will subsequently rely in order to accomplish their Security Cooperation tasks and initiatives in support of U.S. foreign policy goals and objectives.

This course introduces the students to the Security Cooperation stakeholders in the National Capital Region to initiate and develop the relationships necessary to be successful within the Security Cooperation Enterprise. It also aligns with and supports the on-going Security Cooperation workforce development efforts throughout the Department of Defense.
